Hamilton Locke adds partner from Bakers
Fast-growing East Coast firm Hamilton Locke has increased its partnership to 24 with the appointment of a banking and finance partner.
Following last week’s expansion into Brisbane, Hamilton Locke has added a new partner to its Sydney office.

Adam Jeffrey joins the firm from Baker McKenzie, bringing with him “extensive expertise advising Australian and international corporate borrowers and financial institutions on general corporate finance, property finance and leveraged finance”.
Moreover, the firm said, he has expertise in negotiating derivative arrangements and acting for issuers in the Australian and US debt capital markets and regularly advises borrowers and financiers across a range of local and cross-border financing matters.
He comes across from Baker McKenzie but has also worked at Herbert Smith Freehills and Clifford Chance.
Speaking about the appointment, Hamilton Locke managing partner Nick Humphrey said: “We are delighted to appoint Adam to the firm, bolstering our existing banking and finance expertise, and offer his wealth of experience to our clients.”
The appointment also follows the acquisition by Hamilton Locke’s holding company, Halo Group Holdings, of The Fold Legal.
