SYDNEY AND Beijing-based firm, Gray & Perkins, has appointed Bernard Tan as a partner in the firm’s Sydney property team. He will also head up the firm’s property department.

Tan has almost 15 years’ experience in property law, his area of expertise being retirement villages and aged-care, and capital raisings for property projects. His previous experience includes working in-house at one of Australia’s largest retirement and aged-care developers.

He has acted for both publically-listed and private developers and property trusts, on large subdivisions, strata title and community land developments, joint ventures, hotels and serviced apartments and property acquisitions and disposals.
