Corrs welcomes financial services regulatory specialist

Independent law firm Corrs Chambers Westgarth has appointed a financial services regulatory specialist as partner in its Sydney office.

New partner Steven Rice has brought extensive experience across accounting and law to Corrs Chambers Westgarth (Corrs), along with specialisations in financial services, financial markets, anti-money laundering, and general corporate regulation.

 
 

Mr Rice’s experience also includes advising retail and investment banks and fund managers and corporate advisors in relation to financial services regulatory and compliance issues. He also advised on corporate compliance issues and on specialist areas such as the Financial Accountability Regime.

Commenting on the appointment, CEO Gavin MacLaren said: “With continued regulatory focus on the financial services sector, Steven is a great addition to our financial sponsors group team. I am delighted to welcome him to the partnership.”
