Joining the firm is special counsel Julian Peake and senior associates Audrey-Lee Pham, Lucy Chen and Allana Smith. While the latter focuses on the firm’s workplace offering, the first three new hires are experienced practitioners in public liability, financial lines, construction, medical negligence, and sensitive claims work.

Commenting on the new hires, managing principal Richard Wood said: “As always with periods of continued growth, we are looking to meet client demand in key service lines, whilst staying true to who we are as an insurance sector law firm.

“There is no doubt Julian, Audrey, Allana and Lucy further enhance the support we give to clients in these important areas, while being valued members of the team.”

New special counsel Mr Peake has a strong background in areas of construction, risk, property damage, construction and infrastructure projects. He has acted for commercial clients and insurers in relation to a range of complex disputes and is attuned to the “legal, commercial and insurance issues” that are facing his clients.

Ms Pham’s experience in personal injury and litigation has made her an “established senior legal practitioner” who provides specialist advice and representation in the areas of medical negligence claims, public liability, and sensitive claims work.

Senior associate Ms Smith’s practice spans across work relationships such as employment, discrimination, occupational health and safety, whistleblowing and privacy.

Experienced civil and commercial litigation practitioner Ms Chen has experience in financial lines, professional indemnity, coverage and sensitive claims lines. Ms Chen volunteers at Refugee Legal, Women’s Legal Service and Marrickville Legal Centre.
