Lee Flanagan, managing partner of Arnold Thomas & Becker, said that this acquisition consolidates the firm’s position as the “fourth-largest player” in Victoria.
“John McCristal Injury Lawyers’ was a Victorian based firm with a particularly strong presence in the LaTrobe Valley,” he said.
“The opportunity to join forces came following the recent retirement of owner, John McCristal. The JMIL team will be located with the existing Dandenong team, led by local practice manager Travis Fewster, and will continue to advise existing clients.”
Speaking further about the integration of the two teams, Mr Flanagan said that the JMIL team “perfectly complement” the Arnold Thomas & Becker practice and will “enhance and strengthen our already high-performing team”.
“We are now amongst the largest personal injury practices in Victoria, leading many high-profile actions,” he said.
This news follows the expansion of the firm’s operations across the eastern states of Australia, as well as the promotion of five lawyers – as well as the opening of two new offices – in July 2020. Arnold Thomas & Becker currently has eight offices across Victoria.
