Commercial litigation and insolvency firm Rose Litigation has bolstered its leadership team with the appointment of a partner and special counsel in Brisbane.
Rose Litigation Lawyers, which has offices in Brisbane, Gold Coast and Sydney, has enhanced its senior leadership team by appointing Ian Dorey (pictured) as partner and Rob Dickfos (pictured) as special counsel.
Dorey has over 35 years of extensive experience in insolvency, banking, enforcement, and commercial litigation. He previously served as a partner at global law firm K&L Gates for nearly 13 years and at national law firm Gadens for over three years.
Dorey is also a Fellow of the Australian Restructuring Insolvency and Turnaround Association (ARITA) and holds the role of deputy chair of ARITA’s Queensland division.
“Rose Litigation Lawyers has established a strong reputation for its commercial approach and client focus. I’m excited to be joining a dynamic and growing team with a clear vision and commitment to excellence,” he said.
Dickfos possesses over a decade of experience advising on high-value commercial disputes, insolvency litigation and regulatory matters.
Before joining Rose Litigation Lawyers, he served as a senior associate at McCullough Robertson Lawyers for over two years, following more than seven years at HopgoodGanim Lawyers, where he progressed through the roles of solicitor, associate, and senior associate.
These appointments form part of a strategic initiative “amid growing demand for high-calibre legal expertise”, according to managing partner Shaun Rose.
He expressed that adding Dorey to the partnership team “reflects our commitment to attracting the highest calibre legal talent to deliver commercial, strategic outcomes for our clients”.
“His track record of success, industry recognition, and practical commercial insight make him a valuable addition to our leadership team and client offering,” Rose said.
Speaking on Dickfos’ appointment, Rose described him as a “talented practitioner whose experience, technical capability and commercial approach to litigation make him a valuable addition to our senior team”.
“The addition of legal talent of Rob’s calibre ensures we continue to meet growing demand for clear, practical, and results-oriented legal advice at the highest level. We are delighted to welcome him to Rose Litigation Lawyers,” Rose said.
This news follows the firm’s internal promotion of a special counsel and new business manager at the beginning of January.
