Lavan has announced a series of promotions, elevating two to senior associate, one to special counsel, and one to associate, effective 1 July.

The full-service firm stated that the promotions reflect its continued growth and its strengthening position as a leading law firm in Western Australia.

This news follows the Perth-based firm promoting 13 of its lawyers to more senior positions, including three to partners, and adding four lawyers at the start of the year.

Within the firm’s property and leasing team, three lawyers have been promoted. Adri Lock has been elevated to special counsel, with Jay Bebbington advancing to senior associate and Jasmine Ball promoted to associate.

The employment, safety and education team also celebrated a promotion, with Amanda Valenti elevated to the role of senior associate.

Lavan has also welcomed several new appointments within the firm’s ranks, including John Quigley, the former attorney-general of Western Australia, as a consultant within the government sector.

In addition, the West Australian firm has welcomed Desiree Pavey as special counsel (restructuring, disputes and insolvency team), Amanda Soh as senior associate (restructuring, disputes and insolvency team), Samuel Speechly as senior associate (construction and infrastructure team), Abdul Al Asadi as senior associate (employment, safety and education team), Jessie Lonergan as an associate (family and private clients team), and Katie Moynihan as an associate (property and leasing team).

This latest round of promotions brings Lavan’s total to 25 partners and more than 200 staff within its Perth-based office.

Managing partner Dean Hely congratulated those promoted and welcomed the new appointments, highlighting their contributions to Lavan’s ongoing success.

“On behalf of the partners and the wider firm, I am delighted to congratulate our well-deserving colleagues on their promotions and warmly welcome those recently appointed to Lavan,” Hely said.

“Each of these outstanding lawyers adds significant value to Lavan, ensuring our clients continue to receive exceptional legal services. I’d also like to take this opportunity to acknowledge John Quigley, whose immense experience and legal acumen will be a tremendous asset to Lavan.”
