Commercial and family law firm Swaab has strengthened its property, planning and projects team with the appointment of a special counsel.
Peter Bournas (pictured) has joined Swaab as special counsel in its property, planning, and projects team, adding further depth to the firm’s capabilities in commercial property and development matters.
Bringing over two decades of experience in the legal and property sectors, Bournas has held several senior roles in private practice, commercial advisory, consultancy, and in-house positions within the airport industry.
In a statement, the commercial and family law firm said Bournas’ deep legal expertise and commercially focused mindset will support clients in “navigating complex matters” within both commercial and airport environments.
He brings broad expertise across a wide range of matters, including property, development, leasing, and revenue-generating transactions.
Mary Digiglio, managing partner at Swaab, stated how Bournas’ arrival strengthens the firm’s ability to support clients in property and infrastructure projects, while reinforcing Swaab’s strategic direction.
“Our firm continues to grow in line with our strategic vision. Peter’s appointment enhances our capacity to respond to evolving client needs, while continuing to deliver outstanding value and service, with the cornerstones of our Swaab Brand of Service and our Generosity of Spirit,” Digiglio said.
This news follows the firm’s promotion of six lawyers, including one to special counsel, two to senior associate, and three associates, earlier this month.
