Queensland-based Butler McDermott Lawyers has strengthened its leadership team by promoting one of its estate lawyers to director and equity owner.
Jamie-Lee Hunt (pictured) has stepped into a leadership role at Butler McDermott Lawyers after being appointed director and equity owner of the firm.
Having been with the firm for more than six years, Hunt has developed significant experience as a solicitor within its wills and estates and estate litigation practice.
Hunt has experience supporting families across a range of matters, including contested wills, probate applications, estate administration, and disputes involving deceased estates.
The Queensland-based firm expressed that her appointment reflects her contribution to the practice’s growth and leadership, highlighting her role in strengthening its estates offering and position within the Queensland legal market.
Alexander Upton, director at Butler McDermott, shared that Hunt’s promotion reflects the value she has delivered since joining the firm, particularly through her focus on client care and commitment to professional excellence.
“Jamie’s appointment recognises the leadership, dedication, and expertise she brings to Butler McDermott Lawyers and our clients,” Upton said.
“She has played an important role in strengthening our wills and estates practice and embodies the values of our firm through her commitment to both client care and legal excellence.”
The appointment comes as Butler McDermott continues to expand its presence across Queensland, with a focus on strengthening its specialist practice areas while maintaining a strong commitment to client service and community engagement.
Speaking about her new role, Hunt noted that she was honoured to step into the role and continue building her career at the firm, adding that she values the opportunity to grow alongside her colleagues.
“I’m grateful for the opportunity to continue growing alongside such a dedicated team and look forward to continuing to support our clients and community,” Hunt said.
