West Australian full-service firm Lavan has expanded its partnership and recognised emerging talent across the firm, promoting eight lawyers, including two to its partnership ranks.
Lavan has bolstered its leadership pipeline, elevating eight lawyers across various levels of its practice, with these professionals having stepped into their new roles on 1 July 2026.
The latest promotion round sees two lawyers join the partnership, alongside a number of appointments spanning special counsel, senior associate, associate, and lead practitioner roles.
Jordan Grapsas and Kerrie Papamihail (both pictured) have been promoted to partner after building their practices within Lavan’s deals team.
Starting at Lavan as a law clerk more than eight years ago, Grapsas has advanced through the firm, building a leading corporate practice across M&A, equity capital markets, and advisory matters.
He advises on complex transactions, including private and public M&A, capital raisings, mining due diligence, and ASX compliance, with a reputation for delivering pragmatic and commercially focused advice.
Papamihail’s promotion follows more than four years with Lavan, where she has developed a strong reputation in equity capital markets, corporate advisory, and regulatory matters.
She advises local and international clients on IPOs, capital raisings, M&A transactions and restructures, as well as complex listing rules, Corporations Act, and JORC compliance issues.
Beyond the partnership appointments, Lavan’s promotion round recognised talent across the firm, with Ilvana Arapovic (family and private) elevated to special counsel and Natasha Clay (deals) and Lowri White (family and private) promoted to senior associate.
Matilda Birchall (property and leasing) and Michael Pendlebury (dispute resolution and investigations) also stepped into associate roles, while Kerri Meyers was named lead practitioner of pro bono.
Speaking about the appointments, Lavan managing partner Dean Hely recognised the lawyers’ dedication and expertise, noting that their promotions reflect the important role they continue to play in the firm’s growth and supporting clients’ matters.
“On behalf of everyone at Lavan, I am delighted to acknowledge these outstanding lawyers on their recent appointments,” Hely said.
“Their talent, commitment, and expertise strengthen our firm and the service we provide to clients and reflect our ongoing growth as a leading independent law firm in Western Australia.”
