Sydney firm boosts tax practice
Sydney-based firm Macpherson + Kelley has hired a new principal to head its tax group in Sydney.

Peter Laverick has joined the commercial firm, charged with growing the practice together with Melbourne-based Rob Warnock. Laverick says clients are currently concerned with looming tax reform, as well as the structuring of eligible termination payouts as they face tough times and are forced to downsize. They are also looking at the structuring of employee share ownership plans in light of the recent government attention on this area, he said.
