GADENS Lawyers' Sydney office has poached former PricewaterhouseCoopers partner and director Louise Massey and appointed her special counsel.

Massey has joined the commercial litigation team, after running a commercial and litigation insolvency practice at PwC.

Massey formerly worked as a director at Optim Legal and before that a partner at Dunhill Madden Butler.

John Dalzell, head of Gadens Lawyers’ commercial litigation team said Massey has “a wealth of commercial litigation experience with very impressive credentials in banking litigation and insolvency”.

“Her recruitment marks another significant milestone in the ongoing expansion of the commercial litigation team; she will play an important role in our banking litigation team.”

The New Lawyer has asked PwC who will be replacing Massey - PwC has not returned calls.
