Clayton Utz takes Blakes banking expert

Clayton Utz has hired from Blake Dawson's banking and finance group, offering a promotion for the restructuring and insolvency expert.

CLAYTON Utz has hired from Blake Dawson's banking and finance group, offering a promotion for the restructuring and insolvency expert. 


Peter Bowden has been in his new post as senior associate for three months, having moved across from Blake Dawson where he was a lawyer for just over one year. He did a stint at Blake Dawson from 2005 as well, where he did an articled clerkship and went on to work as a lawyer there for just under two years. 


Sandwiched between his Blake Dawson stints, Bowden worked for just under two years in the Tokyo office of Ashurst, where he was an associate in the international finance practice. 


Bowden worked on the Bell litigation in Australia's longest-running case, and acted for a syndicate of banks in relation to the liquidation of the Timbercorp group of companies. He acted for the receivers and managers of South Eastern Secured Investments, and fort he voluntary administrators of the Munday Group of companies.
