Wyndham Vacation Resorts Asia Pacific has recruited Julian Blanchard as its senior vice president to head up the company’s legal and compliance department.
Blanchard’s most recent role was that of international general counsel for Billabong International, which has faced tumultuous times lately as it has been the subject of a number of takeover bids.
In his new role, Blanchard will oversee 11 employees in the legal and compliance department at the Wyndham Corporate Centre on the Gold Coast. The department is responsible for ensuring that all areas of the business are complying with the legislation governing their field.
Blanchard has more than 20 years’ experience in the legal field, having spent time working in private practice and academia before making the move in-house.
Wyndham Vacation Resorts Asia Pacific is a division of Wyndham Vacation Ownership, part of Wyndham Worldwide, one of the world's largest hospitality companies. The Asia-Pacific arm employs more than 1400 staff throughout the South Pacific and serves more than 45,500 holiday-home owners throughout Australia, New Zealand and Fiji.
