Farrer has also advised on high-profile capital market transactions, including the Future Fund's $2.4 billion sell-down in Telstra and a $3 billion equity raising by Santos.

Farrer has first class honours degrees in commerce and law from the University of Melbourne and also holds a Master of Laws degree. He has been co-editor of the Takeovers and Public Securities section of the Company and Securities Law Journal for more than 10 years.

He will join Corrs on 1 March.
