King & Wood Mallesons has lured back Tim Sherman from Baker & McKenzie, a move that has been lauded by its national tax head.
Sherman, who left KWM in 2009, will return to the firm in July, four years after he took up a partnership position at Bakers in Sydney. Tim Blue, managing partner of corporate M&A and tax at KWM, labelled Sherman as an “outstanding lawyer”.
Late last year KWM poached Bakers’ head of global private equity, Mark McNamara, who is also based in Sydney.
