Sydney law firm Curwoods Lawyers has hired commercial litigation and recoveries lawyer Sam Pearlman to its commercial group.
Pearlman, whose appointment becomes effective today (2 April), worked at Swaab Attorneys and was also a solicitor director at Jones King Lawyers. He joins the firm from MacGillivrays Solicitors where he was the responsible partner for its Sydney office. Throughout his career he has acted for some of Australia’s leading banks and financers.
“The ability to focus on a busy practice, along with transitioning my clients to Curwoods and building new client relationships, makes this a great opportunity,” said Pearlman, who brings across his team, which includes senior associate Roslyn Diesner, a graduate lawyer and a paralegal.
“Sam brings a unique mix of skills … to our NSW and wider commercial dispute resolution, debt recovery and retail banking practice,” said Curwoods’ managing partner Scott Kennedy.
