Corrs nabs railway man

The general counsel of Queensland Rail will join the workplace relations practice at Corrs Chambers Westgarth as a partner.

Nick Le Mare will start at the firm next month (10 February) and lead the Queensland workplace relations team based in Brisbane. He returns to private practice after more than seven years in-house.

Prior to the role at Queensland Rail, Le Mare was the general manager of workplace relations for Virgin Australia, a position he stepped into after more than four years as the airline’s senior legal counsel.

Le Mare’s private practice experience includes more than six years as a senior associate at Ashurst (then Blake Dawson Waldron) in the early 2000s.
