DLA takes a partner from HWL
DLA Piper has poached Kon Tsiakis from HWL Ebsworth and also announced its global partner promotions.

Tsiakis (pictured), a Melbourne-based cross border insolvency expert, was at Herbert Smith Freehills for a decade prior to joining HWL.

DLA Piper has promoted 45 lawyers to partner in 13countries.
Four lawyers were promoted to partner in Australia. In Brisbane, Sophie Devitt and Lyndon Masters join Sydney-based litigation and regulatory lawyer Gitanjali Balaj and restructuring lawyer Amelia Kelley as new partners at the global firm.
Globally, corporate saw the largest intake of new partners with 13 promotions, followed by litigation and regulatory with 12 and intellectual property and technology with nine promotions.
