Since being admitted as a lawyer in 2005, Browne has practised exclusively in the area of family law. She previously worked as a solicitor at Watts McCray Family Lawyers in Sydney before moving to Perth.
Managing partner Dean Hely said, “Family law is becoming increasingly complex and having someone with Framy’s expertise and energy … is exciting for [us] and for the Western Australian business community.
“Family law is no longer a stand-alone issue and Framy will work closely with our corporate, property and tax teams to provide a seamless service for clients,” he added.
Browne said she was delighted to be appointed as a partner at Lavan Legal. “The family law practice will sit uniquely within a multi-faceted law firm,” she said.
Lavan Legal has made some prominent hires recently: Norton Rose Fulbright national head Derek La Ferla joined last week and the head of Rockwell Olivier’s workplace relations practice in Perth left to join the firm last October.
