Global insurance partner defects to Minters
A former DLA Piper partner based in Hong Kong has joined Minter Ellison as the firm’s head of insurance and corporate risk in Asia and Western Australia.

Will Harrison (pictured) will be based at Minters’ Perth office. Prior to joining DLA in 2007, he was a senior associate at Clifford Chance for six-and-a-half years.
He has worked on high-profile D&O and professional negligence matters globally, including the Grant Thornton negligence litigation in Hong Kong; the Barings Bank collapse negligence action in London; and the London Metal Exchange aluminium cartel class action in the United States.
Minters lost Brisbane-based restructuring and insolvency specialist David O’Farrell in December, a few months after the national firm nabbed around a dozen partners and lawyers from Maddocks’ tax controversy team.
