Barristers Amanda Burrows SC, Simon Freitag SC and Stephen Wright SC have been recognised for their legal expertise and taken silk. The new senior counsel were appointed by  Western Australia Chief Justice Wayne Martin AC last month.

Ms Burrows is a criminal prosecutor in the Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions; Mr Freitag practises as a criminal barrister from Albert Wolff Chambers; and Mr Wright is a native title law specialist with expertise in Aboriginal heritage, trusts and mining, and taxation.

WA Law Society president Alain Musikanth congratulated the barristers on their appointment.

“All are highly regarded and respected senior Western Australian advocates, and their appointments are reflective of their eminence, integrity and independence,” he said.
