According to a statement from DLA, Mr Fotheringham’s experience spans project development – in particular, on oil and gas, energy, resources and infrastructure projects – acquisition and divestments, joint ventures and commodity sales.
His clients include leading oil and gas companies, global mining groups, power producers and transport operators, the firm noted.
“Tom is a skilled projects lawyer and his appointment bolsters our energy and resources practice in the Asia-Pacific region, particularly in the oil and gas sector,” said head of finance and projects in Australia, Onno Bakker.
Co-managing partner in Australia, Jim Holding, added: “We are delighted to welcome Tom to DLA Piper”.
“He joins a global team of experienced projects, energy and infrastructure lawyers with clients ranging from the world’s largest oil and gas companies to investment banks active in energy and commodities trading,” he said.
