Hamilton Locke adds property partner from Piper Alderman
Fast-growing BigLaw firm Hamilton Locke has appointed a new partner for its property group in Sydney, who most recently practised at national firm Piper Alderman.
Margot King (pictured) has joined the Sydney office at Hamilton Locke, bringing the total number of partners at the national firm to 38.

Ms King, the firm said in a statement, advises developers and investors on projects and property transactions and has particular expertise in urban regeneration projects, infrastructure projects and renewables projects, and is experienced in leading transactions and project implementation and compliance.
Prior to her time at Piper Alderman, Ms King worked in-house as project lawyer for Walker Corporation on the Parramatta Square project.
Speaking about the appointment, Hamilton Locke managing partner Nick Humphrey said: “We are pleased to welcome Margot King to our Sydney office, further growing our property team.
“Margot’s diverse experience and unique skill set will be a great asset to our clients and the firm.”
The appointment follows the firm’s continued growth strategy, coming after its launch in Western Australia, addition of a litigation partner in April, a food and agribusiness partner in March and a special counsel as a new partner in the same month.
