Hamilton Locke has hired a new partner to join its corporate team.
The firm has appointed Michael Lishman as a corporate partner. Mr Lishman brings over 30 years of experience to his new role, having advised on complex M&A transactions and corporate advisory matters.
Prior to joining Hamilton Locke, Mr Lishman help positions at Jones Day, Clifford Chance, Cochrane Lishman Carson Luscombe, and King & Wood Mallesons. He held the title of managing director and head of the Perth office at Gresham Partners Limited.
Throughout his career, he has built up expertise in various industries, including oil and gas, mining, financial services and transportation.
Hamilton Locke managing partner Nick Humphrey welcomed Mr Lishman to the firm, noting his appointment will help bolster the practice significantly.
“We are thrilled to grow our corporate practice and our Melbourne team with the addition of Michael Lishman,” Mr Humphrey said.
This latest appointment follows that of Margot King, who joined Hamilton Locke from Piper Alderman earlier this month.
Ms King joins the firm’s property practice in her new partnership role.
