There was much cause for celebration as 2022 marked the 10th year of the Lawyers Weekly 30 Under 30 Awards program.

Held at The Star in Sydney on Friday, 3 June, the 30 Under 30 Awards 2022 was an opportunity to shine a light on the finest young lawyers across the nation and rising stars aged 30 and under, while applauding their tremendous efforts from the start of their careers and rewarding them for their achievements over the past year.

The awards offer finalists and winners the foundation for career progression, with industry-wide recognition of the emerging leaders across the Australian legal industry for professional competency and demonstrating a passion for the law and unparalleled dedication for personal advancement.

Over 600 members of the legal profession glammed up and turned up to this year’s gala awards ceremony to cheer their peers and network with their colleagues.

A total of 274 finalists were chosen out of over 619 submissions, with 30 ultimately walking away with a trophy.

Lawyers Weekly editor Jerome Doraisamy congratulated all of this year’s winners on behalf of Lawyers Weekly and all event partners.

“Those recognised tonight – not just the lawyers who walked away with trophies, but also those who were named as finalists – should be exceptionally proud of their accomplishments over the last 12 months,” he said.

“Given how hotly contested this year’s judging process was, it is fair to say that Australia’s legal profession is in safe hands.

“To the winners, tonight is a tangible acknowledgement of how hard you work. Take time to reflect on just how much you’ve achieved and be proud of yourself.”

Lawyers Weekly would like to thank principal partner Taylor Root for its continued support, along with gold partners Carlyle Kingswood Global, Cyber Security Connect, Finni, event partner Naiman Clarke, diversity partner LEAP, philanthropic partner So They Can, and charity partner Invictus Australia.
