She brings, MLA said in a statement, “valuable knowledge and insights informed by her experience as a top-tier law firm partner, the co-founder of a legal services disruptor, and a general counsel and chief legal officer”.
Before joining the recruitment firm, Ms Olgers served as a partner at global law firm Allens, was co-founder of legal services disruptor AdventBalance Lawyers (now LOD), chief legal officer and group executive of ASX20 Suncorp Group, general counsel of ASX10 National Australia Bank, and GC and company secretary at Sydney Water.
Speaking about the appointment, MLA vice-president (EMEA and APAC) Brent Harris said: “Kate brings a valuable insider’s perspective to both our partner practice and in-house counsel initiatives in Australia.
“We’re delighted to have her experience, expertise and energy on the team.”
Ms Olgers added: “I have a strong service orientation. I’m at home in a high-performing professional services environment and enjoy working with senior stakeholders, matching talent with opportunity, so MLA felt like a natural next step for me and a place where I’m values-aligned.
“I’m attracted to its high-calibre people, collaborative culture and global reach, with its small Australian presence giving me the opportunity to help build and grow here.”
