Ms Roettgers is, the firm noted in a statement, an “experienced” real estate and infrastructure partner and has experience working on a range of commercial real estate matters, including capital transactions, property development, acquisitions and disposals, residential land subdivisions, commercial retail and industrial leasing and large-scale infrastructure projects.
She was a special counsel at Corrs for over four years — and spent 14 and a half years at the national firm — and previously worked in-house and at a Brisbane-based boutique.
The firm expanded into Brisbane in July 2021.
The appointment follows the firm’s hiring of a new executive director in January, a new head of corporate in the same month, and other recent partner appointments reported by Lawyers Weekly, here and here.
Speaking about the appointment, Hamilton Locke managing partner Nick Humphrey said: “We are excited to welcome Sarah Roettgers to our property practice.
“The appointment of Sarah builds on our existing capabilities in Brisbane and expands our serviceability to clients across Australia and internationally.”
