JWS has hired Eleanor Kwak (picture) for its real estate team, bringing with her over two decades of experience on transactions in the commercial, industrial and residential property sectors.
She specialises, the firm said in a statement, in social infrastructure, property development, commercial leasing, property sales and acquisitions, joint ventures and major projects.
The news follows the firm’s hiring of a managing associate from Allens as a new partner earlier this year.
Speaking about the appointment, JWS managing partner Jeremy Davis said: “Eleanor is a highly regarded real estate lawyer.
“She has worked on a number of market-leading transactions and is active with the Property Council of Australia, where she is the chair of the social infrastructure committee (Victorian division).
“We are delighted to have Eleanor join the firm to lead our real estate team in Melbourne.”
Ms Kwak added: “JWS has a highly rated real estate team. I am looking forward to working alongside the team to meet our clients’ most challenging legal needs.”
