Patent and trademark boutique FB Rice & Co has appointed Dr Valentin Bogdanov to its engineering practice.

Bogdanov has a PhD and industrial experience in the fields of optical physics and materials science, and he specialises in advising on IP-related issues surrounding laser technologies, optical physics, semiconductors and photonics. He has also worked with inventors across a range of other fields including electronics, solar cells and photovoltaic panels, printing technologies, medical devices and gaming machines.

Bogdanov's clients have included start-up companies, universities and large international corporations.
