Sydney-based firm Colin Biggers & Paisley has announced the appointment of special counsel Leanne Walker to the firm's partnership, effective 1 July 2011.

 
 

Joining CBP in 2010 as special counsel, Walker practises in the firm's commercial dispute resolution group, managing complex disputes across the areas of property and leasing, construction and contracts.

Walker acts for clients in the public and private sectors, including professional indemnity and public liability insurers, local councils, contractors, liquidators, trustees and administrators.

Along with Walker's addition to the partnership, CBP has also promoted lawyers Joanne Chaina, Julian Mellick, Alice Turkington, Claire MacMillan and Katherine Jones to the position of senior associate, effective 1 July.
