Omio acquires travel technology business Rome2rio

Key players: The KHQ Lawyers team was led by director Andrew Walker and assisted by special counsel Kate Landells, senior associate Koula Politis and lawyer Darrell Choong. The purchaser was represented by Corrs Chambers Westgarth.

Deal significance: Melbourne-based travel technology business Rome2rio has been acquired by Europe-based Omio.

Rome2rio was advised during the sale process by the corporate and commercial team at KHQ Lawyers, based in Melbourne’s CBD. The firm said the strategic acquisition will combine Omio’s expertise in ticketing with Rome2rio’s search expertise.
