The boutique strata practice has merged with the specialist strata and property advisory, litigation and levy collection firm to create opportunities for both firms, according to their respective CEOs.

CEO David Bugden said the merger with Le Page Lawyers creates an expansion opportunity into property and commercial litigation and strata levy recovery work in NSW for Bugden Allen Graham.

“Our partners Michael and Gary have known David Le Page for many years, having worked together in Double Bay early in their careers, and most recently on some complex property matters,” he said.

“David and his team are highly specialised in this area, and their results-focused approach aligns well with our values and approach to legal work.”

The move will see 30-year strata law veteran David Le Page, along with his team of lawyers and support staff, join the Bugden Allen Graham team.

This news follows the firm’s expansion to Melbourne earlier this year, wherein Tim Graham, who was a partner at BigLaw firm HWL Ebsworth for nearly 11 years, moved to Bugden Allen Lawyers with his team. This Sydney merger will bolster the team at Bugden Allen Graham Lawyers to nearly 30 staff, helping it to become one of the largest specialist strata and property law firms in Australia.

The merger with Le Page Lawyers also cements the firm’s commitment to technology – and is part of their strategy to acquire “hands-on” expertise to support their software development plans.

“The team at Le Page do a lot of by-law consolidation and registration work, so it will be great to get them involved in our By-Law Builder project. Members of their team also have over 30 years’ experience in areas we’re developing new software for, so we can’t wait to tap into that expertise,” Mr Bugden added.

Echoing this sentiment, David Le Page expressed his excitement for the opportunities the combination presents for his team.

“I have worked with the partners of Bugden Allen Graham on many occasions since our early days. They have an excellent reputation, and I consider them to have an unrivalled expertise in strata titles law,” he said.

I had no hesitation in advising them that my staff and I would be delighted to join the firm. In particular, I was pleased that the expertise that my firm has acquired over 23 years and which now resides in all of our solicitors, paralegals and support staff will be allowed to develop in a modern and diverse environment at Bugden Allen Graham.”
