Knowledge work platform iManage has launched artificial intelligence capabilities within Google Cloud’s Gemini Enterprise.
To automate complex enterprise workflows and allow customers to extend their capabilities, iManage has brought Gemini Enterprise for Legal into its own ecosystem.
The integration reflects iManage’s commitment to building a best-in-class ecosystem that gives customers choice in how they adopt and use AI within a secure environment.
It is a template for how AI platforms and governed knowledge systems should work together, said iManage.
“Legal professionals handle vast amounts of complex information and need AI tools that respect strict confidentiality while accelerating daily tasks,” Google Cloud vice president Satish Thomas said.
“Bringing iManage into Gemini Enterprise enables teams to analyse deal documents, e-discovery files, and precedent with speed and confidence.”
The technology sits on top of iManage and draws together information held across matters, clients and personnel.
Users can put questions to the system in plain language with responses generated from up-to-date knowledge retrieved under permissioned controls, rather than a static export.
This is intended to tackle one of the most persistent problems with enterprise AI: information can become scattered across multiple, uncontrolled companies, making it harder to establish whether an answer is both accurate and compliant.
David Zember, vice president of global channels and alliances at iManage, said the integration builds on its strategic commitment “to building the industry’s best ecosystem”.
“This approach gives our clients choice in how they use AI to connect to the knowledge they already trust.
“Gemini Enterprise can securely draw on matter context, precedent and institutional knowledge in iManage while preserving the permissions, controls and auditability organisations already rely on,” Zember said.
