Hall & Wilcox has welcomed Perth-based Sevan Gore to the partnership, effective immediately. Mr Gore joins from Herbert Smith Freehills, where he was a senior lawyer within the firm’s corporate team.

Mr Gore brings a wealth of experience to Hall & Wilcox, having gained extensive capability in advising on matters concerning equity capital markets (ECM), public and private mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, procurement and general corporate work.

In a statement, Hall & Wilcox said Mr Gore “has a strong track record in leading ECM and M&A transactions for WA-based companies and founders”.

Hall & Wilcox managing partner Tony Macvean congratulated Mr Gore on his new role, noting his appointment aligned with the firm’s strategic focus of expanding its commercial practice in Western Australia and building corporate strength nationally.

“Sevan will work with our Perth partners to drive the growth of our commercial offering in the Perth market,” he said.

“His expertise will also strengthen our national corporate and equity capital markets practice, slotting in beautifully to our national corporate and ECM team.

“I spent a lot of time with Sevan as part of the ‘getting-to-know-you’ process, and I think he will really bring something special to our clients and firm.”

Commenting on his new role at Hall & Wilcox, Mr Gore said: “I am thrilled to be part of a firm that has its clients, people and communities at the heart of everything it does.

“I look forward to contributing to the firm’s continued growth and success, particularly in the WA market.”

The appointment of Mr Gore follows other recent Perth appointments this year.
