Lawyers Weekly has opened submissions and nominations for the Women in Law Awards 2025.
The highly anticipated Women in Law Awards return to recognise the influential women leading Australia’s legal profession, run in support of principal partner nrol and The Broker for Lawyers.
The national awards program presents a unique opportunity for leading women to showcase their achievements, attract more clients, and propel their careers to new heights.
Now in its 14th year, the Women in Law Awards will once again celebrate the best of the best in the business of law, spotlighting the profession’s leading women, including executives, barristers, academics, pro bono, students, and many more.
Take the first step in being recognised at a national level by submitting an entry or nominating a worthy colleague or business by Thursday, 28 August 2025, to be in the running.
The awards are open to all female individuals and businesses operating in Australia.
This year, there are 29 categories on offer, including 26 individual and three group categories. The highest-scoring individual winner will become the recipient of the coveted Excellence Award at the awards ceremony.
The categories cover the breadth of the legal profession, including Barrister of the Year, Executive of the Year, In-House Professional of the Year, and Law Student of the Year in the individual categories.
The group categories include Innovator of the Year (Company), Boutique Diversity Law Firm of the Year, and Diversity Law Firm of the Year.
General counsel, legal support, and senior associates will also be recognised at the awards ceremony.

The black-tie gala event will bring together leaders to celebrate the achievements of exceptional professionals and businesses on the legal profession’s night of nights.
