Following a 12-month evaluation, BigLaw firm Macpherson Kelley has rolled Harvey out to all eight practice groups.
Macpherson Kelley said it selected Harvey for its strength and approach to implementation and adoption by legal teams.
National managing principal Grant Guenther said: “Rolling out Harvey across the firm is an investment in our people and in how we continue to strengthen the service we deliver to our clients.”
Guenther added that Macpherson Kelley spent a year evaluating Harvey and testing it against alternatives, but it was the partnership behind it that made it stand out.
During the pilot, Harvey’s customer service and legal engineering teams worked onsite with Macpherson Kelley to identify high-impact use cases and develop tailored workflows.
Macpherson Kelley’s teams will continue to build on the foundation while it expands across litigation, drafting review, and other complex legal work to deliver greater value for clients.
Harvey’s Australian country manager, Ashleigh Whittaker, said Macpherson Kelley approached the decision with “tremendous thoughtfulness, taking the time to understand where Harvey could have the greatest impact across its practice”.
“We’re proud to support the firm as it brings Harvey to every lawyer and look forward to building on the strong relationship our teams have developed,” Whittaker said.
Macpherson Kelley is the latest BigLaw firm to onboard Harvey, following closely behind Maddocks in June, Corrs Chambers Westgarth in February, and Clayton Utz last September.
Since February last year, Harvey has been rolled out within Arnold Bloch Leibler, King & Wood Mallesons, and Gilbert + Tobin.
The platform is also being used by Microsoft’s legal team, and has partnered up with the University of Sydney Law School and the University of Technology Sydney’s faculty of law.
