Parry has over 12 years of experience advising government agencies and public sector clients on outsourcing, managed services and procurement projects.

Additionally, she has provided advice on the negotiation of contracts, preparation of procurement documentation and sourcing strategies. The firm said “Louise has particular expertise in care services and technology projects”.

It added that she is known for her “determination, collaborative style and pragmatic approach”.

She joins from Clayton Utz, where she became a senior associate in 2019 and was elevated to special counsel in 2024.

Parry said she felt excited to take on the role “at such a dynamic time”. The firm’s head of its corporate practice, David Morris, called the appointment “part of our continued investment in building capability to support our government and private sector clients in Canberra and nationally”.

“Louise’s deep expertise in government procurement and commercial contracting, particularly in health, aged care, and technology projects, adds significant strength to our offering,” Morris said.

The firm’s Canberra office was established in July and comprised nine lawyers when it first opened.

Her appointment follows that of fellow corporate partner Margaret Gigliotti, who joined the firm earlier this month; commercial disputes partner Helen Sims, who joined last month; and real estate partner Michael O’Callaghan, who joined in January.
