He has extensive experience in defending health liability claims and has spent the last 23 years building a specialist practice where he has worked closely with medical defence organisations in the defence of complex health liability claims.

His experience covers cases such as catastrophic injury claims, delayed diagnosis, misdiagnosis, adverse surgery outcomes, and complex birth cases.

Joining Mr Baram is special counsel Louise Hazelton. Ms Hazelton has 16 years of specialised experience in the medical negligence arena, defending public and private sector clients.

Mr Baram and Ms Hazelton will join Meridian on 1 August.
