Mullins Lawyers has promoted four of its lawyers to more senior positions, with three elevated to senior associate and one to associate.

These new appointments span four of Queensland-based Mullins Lawyers’ core practice areas, including employment, migration, insurance, and wills and estates.

Among those promoted to senior associate are Sarv Singh (migration), Bronte Jackson (employment), and Roz van der Blom (insurance).

A former winner of the 2024 Lawyers Weekly 30 Under 30 award in migration law, Singh advises both individuals and corporate clients on strategic and practical solutions for Australian visas and permanent residency.

Working within the firm’s business services team, Jackson focuses on employment, industrial relations, and workplace health and safety, and frequently represents clients before the Fair Work Commission and other state and federal tribunals.

Bringing more than a decade of experience, Blom advises both plaintiff and defendant clients on workers’ compensation, public liability, motor vehicle accident, and medical negligence claims, including acting for WorkCover Queensland.

Rounding out the Queensland-based law firm promotion round, Lynn Lai has been elevated to associate within the wills and estates team.

With over 11 years of experience, Lai advises on complex estate litigation matters, including family provision claims, contested probate, superannuation disputes, and proceedings before the Queensland Civil and Administrative Tribunal (QCAT).

Sam McIvor, managing partner at Mullins Lawyers, noted these promotions demonstrate the firm’s dedication to recognising top talent and fostering career development within the team.

“These promotions reward and celebrate exceptional legal talent and reinforce our commitment to investing in the next generation of leaders within the firm,” McIvor said.

This news follows the firm’s appointment of a seasoned commercial litigation and arbitration specialist as a partner at the end of July, and the hiring of a partner to its property team, who joined from global BigLaw firm Dentons at the end of May.
