A former property partner at Mills Oakley and previously a director at PwC, Sundarjee specialises in real estate and property matters and joined national law firm JWS earlier this week.

Managing partner Jeremy Davis said: “I am delighted that Bhavini is joining the firm to deepen our real estate team.”

Sundarjee has worked with a range of asset classes and industries, including office, industrial, logistics and retail.

“Bhavini brings extensive experience in real estate transactions and has strong relationships with a number of property funds,” Davis said.

She has represented real estate investment funds, sovereign wealth funds and corporations, and she also previously served as a senior legal counsel at real estate fund manager Charter Hall.

On her appointment, she said: “I look forward to working with the JWS team, led by partner Samantha Daly, head of the firm’s real estate, environment and planning and construction group.

“I was drawn to the high calibre of the JWS property team and their strong client following and reputation in the market.”

This news followed other moves at the firm: the appointment of four new partners in June, the acquisition of a Clayton Utz insolvency partner in May, the alliance with a Japanese firm in March, the acquisition of an energy and resource partner from DLA Piper in the same month, the addition of a safety partner in Sydney in February, and the appointment of a partner and special counsel for its IR and employment team in November 2024.
